Using the wrong word

One thing that really annoys me is the misspelling and the mispronunciation of the words pronunciation and mispronunciation. Pronunciation and mispronunciation are regularly pronounced as pronounciation and mispronounciation (even on TV by so-called pundits) which I find rather ironic.

When people use the terms 'imply' and 'infer' incorrectly.

Reading this, you may infer, correctly or incorrectly, that I am being a language-nazi.

My response would be to imply that you are a twat and can fuck off.
