I'm actually quite excited at the prospect of Kelechi maybe getting a chance this year (if needed), or for us to play with only one striker, as I think that one striker should be the long term aim of our team. I think we could tear it up with a 5 man midfield, I think it would strengthen us and allow us to dominate the ball and take the pressure off our defence.
My only slight dissapointment with this window is loaning out Lopes and Huws, as I think Lopes's directness could of given us an extra option off the bench that we otherwise lack and that Huws could offer us bit more cover in central midfield, but generally I'm delighted with how this window has gone. We cannot expect our young players to break into the team if we don't even leave cracks for them to emerge through, and this way we have barely spent a penny this summer.
Both need regular football imo.
The loans don't help City's squad right now, but it helps those two become players rather than sitting on our bench or in many cases not even that.
Iheanacho is so good already that he could possibly play regularly imo but if he doesn't, or Pellegrini doesn't think he's ready, then he needs to go out on loan too. we can't have them doing nothing.
