Not sure he even has time for a full medical unless they've done some of it in Monaco. They could ask to seen scans etc of his knee that Moanco / player presumably have

The only I can see for letting him go is that we have told him he won't be in CL squad owing to the restrictions, we have let him know that Valencia are interested and it may be putting two and two together and coming up with 5 as usual, we want a CL squad and prem league squad being identical. That way everyone is happy, the fact that next summer allows for a further foreign player to be brought in may give us the flexibility to look at all our striker options including someone like Isco or Reus.

If we get injuries to our strikers we will have to change tactics and revert to one up top which we have done before and quite sucessfully.

I think we will rue the missed opportunity to sign one of the best strikers in the world instead of trying to keep an unhappy striker

Falcao will be a Madrid player next season.

He'll either flop in which case he'll go back to Monaco, or he'll do well enough for Utd to take up an option on him

The FFP sanction meant we weren't going to name Negredo in the CL squad so this we need 4 strikers theory is a bit overblown. We also have the January window to try again. By then there'll be a pool of striker KO'd from Europe

To be fair we are only in 3 competitions from now till January and we probably won't be naming Negredo in CL squad, but it still concerns me that 2 of our CF are injury prone and it could cost us league points if either get injured.

We also all know January is a bad time to buy proven players and prices are at a premium.

That's how it works mate, one in and one out...
I find it strange that neither Monaco or the rags have confirmed or denied the Falcao deal, either that means a dodgy knee or a better offer coming in...
I think we'll surprise people with a last minute deal...

No chance anyone else is coming in now. No point signing for the sake of it. For whatever reason we are letting negredo go. Fucking brainless of us to leave it til now. As some Media have said we must be thinking we will play with Yaya / Silva as no. 10s in some games.

I may be wrong but he hardly played last season, I rate the lad apart from his twat haircut but he's not good enough for us at the moment.
