Getting Negredo, Nastasic and Richards wages off our books would have covered that.....;)

You can't drop your star players wages then give someone 300k a week!
I think we will rue the missed opportunity to sign one of the best strikers in the world instead of trying to keep an unhappy striker

Falcao will be a Madrid player next season.

If Aguero and Jovetic get crocked again prepare for a shit storm of epic proportions.

This.

Personally I think it would be an act of criminal insanity to allow Negredo to leave without bringing in a replacement. Jovetic is far from being a conventional striker at the best of times - more of a link man - and both he and Kun are injury prone. We will still be able to sell the Beast for £15 - £20 million next summer. Just not worth the risk selling him now for an extra few bob

I agree that letting him go without a suitable replacement is a big risk. Without wishing to sound too much like you, you just fucking know that if we only have three strikers, one or two will end up injured very soon.

I did like the look of Iheanacho, who could be a special talent and, if he is, might be good enough to be fourth choice if they get him a work permit but...
Totally agree with Exeter. It is simply bad policy to weaken your squad, and that's what would happen if we bid farewell to the beast. That's 25 goals walking out the front door.

Is this the secretly continued Falcao thread?

I don't think we'll need to replace Beast. Inheanacho seems to be in Pelegrini's plans for the future.

If he isn't happy he won't replicate that this season.

The kid's 17, no work permit and has had a couple of good games in pre-season. Even United looked good in pre-season. So banking it all on this kid would be a massive risk.

I thought Iheanacho was going to NYCFC for a season?

The Nigerian Kid is no replacement for a battle hardened, quality proven player like Negredo.

To not replace him is a huge mistake that I am convinced will bite us.

Think his departure has more to do with domestic issues, rather than footballing ones, if the rumours are to be believed. Simply Think the club are just trying to do the right thing by the right thing by the lad on a personal level.

Still leaves us in schtuck on the pitch though :-(
Why does it feel like we are only reacting to this now?

The news of his homesickness started during the World Cup
Bang on the money, why wait till the last minute when he has wanted out since the end of the season.
