Real Madrid have followed Valencia in asking City about the availability of Negredo, according to Goal.

Swap for Isco..... disco time :)

Real Madrid won't let go of Di Maria and Isco in the same window, only one will go in my opinion and that player is likely to be Di Maria.

I think there is only around 11 days of the window left so whatever happens with Negredo I think any such transfer will be done in the next few days, I can't see Txiki wanting to deal for replacements around deadline day.

1) We don't need the money
2) Our management won't budge on the 25m asking price
3) If we do let him go I hope we have someone lined up as replacement.
4) If RM and Valencia are involved I don't see why the price has to be less than asking price, they always fleece us.
5) We don't I suspect need Isco
6) Why loan Falcao if he is available even at 50m we should buy outright.
7) We could take him as a straight swop for Di Maria(RM have over inflated his price), that would seriously piss on the rags chips and give us that left width we need.

I am a little shocked that this rumour has gotten this far after the player said he was happy being with us.

According to goal who are pretty hot on city news - Real Madrid asked about negredos availability now.

Di Maria swap deal...Isco although young and potentially WC is more of the same (Silva, Nasri, Jovetic). Di Maria provides something different

My guess is Pellers would want Isco though. Either way I would be happy. Isco to us would keep Di Maria away from the Rags as well.

Not very fashionable, but if this deal does go through I'd rather avoid dropping a current player from our CL roster (like Jovetic, MDM, Navas who some are nominating) and just promote a younger player like Hiwula for the season for Cup games.

If we ever play one up front it'll be in Europe, and between Kun, Jovetic, and Edin you'd assume that one of them will be fit. If injury disasters bite us in the ass then the damage would be playing one up front in the league as well. But I feel like Jordi is ready to take League Cup games, and the early FA Cup ones as well pending first team fitness.

Save the money, save dropping a current player from the CL, and spend the remainder on Reus next summer.

Or offer a decent fee for Reus this season leaving Dortmund not risking losing him for €35m next summer.

I reckon if we offered £40m it would make Dortmund consider.

Reus would be immense in our team in my opinion.

I think they would more than consider it. Its either sell this summer for a good fee or sell to Bayern for his buyout next summer.

I hear you. Just not in a hurry to keep Jovetic off our roster under his current form (most seem to prefer him over the option of pace -- Navas -- and definsive reinforcement -- Martin). And I am a believer in youth for the League Cup and early FA Cup games. Which just boils down to a 4th striker for the league, in which case I'm happy to let it ride this year and go all in on Reus next season. Not for everybody, I know. Certainly doesn't scratch the itch for people who love fancy signings. Just throwing my own two cents in.

Why are you assuming Jovetic would lose his spot in the CL? Not saying he wouldn't but if we bring in an attacking mid like Reus or Isco I would think it would be Milner or Navas (probably Milner with Wright added and Caballero dropped as well).

Tried to include a brief explanation above, but that seemed like popular consensus after reading throughout this summer. Most were reluctant to lose Navas because he was our only pacey winger. Martin seemed like a non-starter. Few wanted to take a chance on Wright starting if we suffered an injury to Hart, and were also under the impression that signing Willy and leaving him out of Europe might ruffle his feathers one game into his City tenure. And Milner is HG, is he not? All of which boiled down to Jovetic drawing the short straw... not my choice, but that was the consensus I had gathered.

if real madrid really want negredo
so I'd like ( negredo = demaria loan + right to purchase next summer for a smaller fee )

Heads can get turned very quickly though mate.

Valencia does look an exciting project and I reckon he will be guaranteed a starting position, and Real Madrid is Real Madrid.

You just don't know if his family wants to go back to Spain as well.

I think we might see something happen in the next few days.

Would be sad to see him go after only one season but if it meant we would definitely get one of Isco, Di Maria or Reus I think it would be better for us.

We still don't know if he is over his goal drought after his shoulder injury and is recently injured again. He is also not the youngest.

Saying that I would be perfectly happy to keep him as he was brilliant in the first half of the season and can hopefully recapture that form again.
