Var debate 2019/20

I wouldn’t

Also can't understand why cant these cnuts and rags be made to have VAR screens.

One rule for every club or expemption for the media darlings - it's no fucking wonder that fans of other clubs are so suspicious really.

I love all your geeky tech ideas lads but I still think "having linesmen judge it" is probably the best option

It's infant technology use so mistakes will happen. It's not perfect situation, but it will definitely be better than corrupt refs without any technology check. The biggest problem is the fact it's hard to celebrate goals, but I'd take that over watching yard offsides not given like in West ham vs Liverpool last season.
It opens up additional avenues for corruption as Andy Gray demonstrated with the choice of frame then there the option to show on-field ref certain angles Until the technology improves to remove the human element then it actually makes it worse

The human element saw margins of error measured in feet. Now it's mm. but yeah I am not sure they've solved the problem

Hopefully not too many really tight calls that will ultimately change games.

whether it is mm or the thickness of the lines, where the elbow starts etc etc, it's the new thing to debate but.... It WILL stop this sort of thing in future

Call me bitter and twisted but I would not feel comfortable in putting any money on that being given offside now.
Did anyone see the debate with one of the refs this week? They showed the Liverpool goal at Southampton When Salah I think it was was clearly offside before they scored and he said a goal would be given as it wasn’t in the last phase of play before the goal.

Without VAR we wouldn't have got the penalty, Dean wouldn't have given it, he very nearly didn't even though it looked a clear trip, but he then realised after a significant delay that VAR would review it, and to prevent him looking a fool (cheat) gave it, knowing that if it was wrong VAR would reverse it, and he could book Mahrez for a dive.

VAR can work if.......

Communication is 100% transparent to the crowd especially and to those watching on tv.

What tech is being used for offsides and what is it’s accuracy?

Why the secrecy?

Why can’t communications between the officials be broadcast in real time?
