VAR part of the problem but the new hand ball rule is the bigger error.
I think that has arisen because it adds 'legitimacy' to the whole VAR concept. We have bumbled this technology into the game where no one can give you a clear explanation of when, where and how it will be used. It can give a clear and definitive statement as to whether a ball has flicked an attacking arm or not, and the operators can point to a 'positive' improvement in the game. Why do we not get a penalty if the ball 'flicks' a defenders arm. Selective use is only part of the problem. To disallow a goal for what must be one of the most mind-boggling changes in the LotG and not apply the same technology for a blatant penalty which, if The Whistling Wanker saw it is blatant cheating, and if he didn't, why didn't the VAR wallah shout down his fuckin' earhole that he's let a pen go begging. Get the ball on the fuckin' pen spot, Oliver!
