Var debate 2019/20

Pep’s probably not seen the other decisions that went against other teams tbf.

What other decisions ? The Kane one today has this board split so I hope you are not referring to that, you keep banging on about the Rags yesterday but as I have posted to you, the ref was probably sick of the cheating and the diving , he gave the one penalty he felt confident about, the rest he ignored because of their antics. No other team has had such a blatant decision as today against them, further no one else has had a the lies from Swarbrick against them. He stated that the ref saw the Rodri incident when it is clear that he was not looking at it.

Jesus goal 6-0 , Jesus goal 3-2 (and another 3 points) , Silva penalty 4-1 , league table without VAR ........Position 1st , Played 3 Won 3 Drew 0 Lost 0 Goals For 13 Against 3 Points 9 , this is why the Premier league are screwing us over
Everything that happened after Jesus scored at West Ham would have been different if the goal would have stood.

Don’t think it’s contrary just to say VAR itself is shit. Seen enough bad decisions over the course of the weekend to suggest that the whole system is fundamentally flawed.
Nothing wrong with the system, the implementation is the flawed element.

It’s as if pigmol are doing their utmost to make a complete shambles of it, which in itself is weird as it tarnishes the Prem brand, which of course is their ultimate paymaster.

Fuck knows where it will all end up.

A few say we are not getting it worse than anyone else when we are the ones getting goals disallowed and a player chucked to floor by a player and ours labelled a cheat, the first couple of games they were trying out the system on us last night this pops up

PL bosses have admitted VAR is constrained by technology when determining offside. Sterling was 2.4cm offside against West Ham despite running so fast he moved 13cm between frames. It was also often impossible to judge the precise moment the ball was played. [@MailSport]

The 50 frames-per-second footage used by VAR meant officials could not be definitive on the most marginal offsides. [@MailSport]

They knew this but poured over it till they found a way to give it,they had no business doing that, they have been using var behind the scenes for 12 months so they know it's limitations, the handball doesn't appear to meet their criteria but they chalked it off anyway,we are their lab rats,no-one else is getting this treatment that has led to them dropping points, you may or may not get a pen that you may or may not score but disallowing goals like they have is deliberate and searched for, there is no doubt we are getting the shitty end of the stick
I was very much much for var but there is so much wrong with it,it's a fucking mess, made up reviews knowning they will never overturn the onfield ref,so many shady areas,i hated the game today, just waiting to be kicked in the bollocks again, the dippers have had nothing but good things so far, there is defo something wrong

And breathe

So if Mike Dean had given a penalty when Kane went down VAR would back him up, and because he didn’t give a penalty they also back him up.

So why is VAR needed if they just agree with the on field referee?
And VAR can't measure offside because the camera is not quick enough. And it rules out perfectly good goals. About as useful as a chocolate fire guard.

VAR, What is it good for? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING !!!

Chelsea and United both had equally bad decisions go against them yesterday imo.

As in my other posts, IMO the ref watched as the Rags fell over and dived throughout the match. He gave the penalty that he was confident was a foul, I cannot say what was in the refs mind but I think he gave Palace the benefit of the doubt for the other one because of this, yes they reviewed but he wanted to be sure and he couldn't be.

I haven't yet seen the Chelsea incident, perhaps it is time for youtube !

Var is shit.

ive not read all the posts today but people saying it will even out over the season are talking shit as city have 60/70 position most games, well city are going to be fucked over
time and again for the rest of the season grrrr

Fuck Var lol

How can you say that, when no one seems to know how it works or is supposed to work ;-)

It went to Var and it was a stonewall penalty, at the swamp, in front of 76'000 fans.

Why wasnt it given?

I agree with the general sentiment about it being shit and so far we seem to have suffered more than most. Don’t think three games is entirely conclusive though, and think the notion that it was brought in purely to fuck us over is nonsense.

I thought I had explained it quite well, The Rags spent the match falling over and diving at every opportunity whether it was for a free kick or a penalty down they went. I have no problem with the penalty they were awarded but maybe the ref was overly cautious after the number of attempts to con him so didn't give the one you are referring to. It is a little like the boy who cried wolf.

3 games is already a pattern, combing through in forensic detail for us alone is a pattern, the dippers being untouched by it is a pattern,i haven't said it's been brought in just for us but the evidence is there to see who is getting shafted already
