Indeed. I watched both union and league matches over the weekend and there wasn't a single muff about decisions where video assistance was used - apart from the poor sod who just had his one and only international try chalked off!

And though I didn't understand some of the sin binning for various aspects of skulduggery the culprits exited the pitch with exceptional good grace, just like Virgil the other week!

VAR = Video Assistant Referee
ie a person watching a video feed of the game who is a qualified referee
Its not technology as such, the only tecch they have is the ability to draw lines that allows for the parallax
The PL decided to not use the FIFA high tech 3D imagery with a ball sensor to determine offside however, the mistake on Saturday would still have a happend, as it was a result of miscommunication and loss of concentration

Mic them up and any player using foul and abusive language gets a yellow. The sooner the game is played respectfully without cheating play acting the better. But I fear it is too late to start like rugby,
