Well tech is s but beyond me these days but defer to you. Surely a better step would be to get the tech right for offside to eliminate the 3 minute wait to decide as sometimes happens
Already done by UEFA and FIFA (same sysyem).
The chip in the ball makes it so much easier to determine when ball momentum changes And where the ball is on the pitch in any split second.
Offside decisions never take longer than 15 seconds.

It’s unquestionable that semi automated offsides are on average quicker than the system we use.

But it’s not all plain sailing.

It was cast iron certainty - perhaps just say the same thing every week and it’ll happen sooner or later.

Unless it's changed, UEFA don't use inertia sensors, they use syncronised video imagery to determine the correct frame. God knows why. Not that I am a fan of all this "precision" anyway.
