Not sure where people are getting the idea from that it all works fine and without controversy in other leagues?

Italy and Spain in particular have huge issues almost on a weekly basis.

My whole argument for a long time.

Watch the return of ridiculous dives, clear offside goals being allowed to stand, clear handballs not given etc and the outrage after every match about the ‘corrupt’ refs - and yes there’s still far to many incidences with even the benefit of a replay the officials still get wrong, which is infuriating.

It’s funny how many are now saying to keep it after this announcement considering the stick I get for arguing the same.

Anyway, I’m really not arsed either way. There will be constant outrage with or without VAR, just personally believe Refs need tech help as the game is too fast, frantic, they miss to much and it’s impossible job with a bias crowd and cheating players everywhere.

Every single goal celebration is ruined as a result of VAR.

Every suggestion at keeping, but improving misses this point for me.

The main enjoyment of football is ruined and forever will be, no matter how good the review system is.

My main issue too. I hate only being able to celebrate restarts.

Was only introduced by UEFA from knock out rounds last season First used in Qatar World Cup
 
I like the idea of automated offside but I wish that they changed the rule so that there had to be clear "daylight" to be offside. That gives the attacker more of an advantage and is nice and simple.

It’s no better with VAR because of the criteria of clear and obvious. The offside was so much better when managed by Linos, we won’t have the ridiculous mm offside any more But, crucial is that the game will be better officiated with more consistent decisions across the pitch instead of, someone hundreds of miles away being a able to interfere only for certain situations.
There will be no more holding the flag, which is so inconsistent it’s untrue, and maybe we can go back to the interpretation of handball before VAR instead of the change to try and make it less subjective to suit VAR Using freeze frame,
slow motion pondering over a situation whilst thousands of fans in the stadium no fuck all yet, Tv viewers are told beige the stadium to the extent that text messages with the decision are received first. Somehow I doubt it will be voted out but we can but hope

You’re advocating a huge change in the offside law there. And would be revolutionising how teams have to defend.

An attacker with his trailing leg level with a part of the second last defender could be two yards off under today’s laws.

It wouldn’t just be tipping the balance slightly in favour of the attacking team. It would be completely changing the whole game.

Not for me.
