VAR Discussion Thread - 2023/24 | PL clubs to vote on whether to scrap VAR (pg413)

Would you want VAR scrapped?

  • Total voters
    293
  • Poll closed .
Don't think drink driving is quite the same as a hair pull in a football match which without VAR would have gone unnoticed anyway. it won't from now on.

As usual blue hammer you’ve missed the point. We’ve been explaining corruption & it’s different forms.I’d say like Mike Dean you’ve deliberately missed the point.

Forms of corruption below.
  • 4.1 Bribery.
  • 4.2 Embezzlement, theft and fraud.
  • 4.3 Graft.
  • 4.4 Extortion and blackmail.
  • 4.5 Influence peddling.
  • 4.6 Networking.
  • 4.7 Abuse of discretion.
  • 4.8 Favoritism, nepotism and clientelism.
It’s corrupt, very few are the expected brown envelopes.

Right but I’m not sure any of those apply in this particular case.

Halfcentury

Bet you are faster than me. I’m a proper luddite

this link explains how AI was utilised at the WC

Oh OK, I wasn't trying to be argumentative, I get how AI can evolve in the future, but SAOT isn't AI as far as I am concerned, it's just a clever piece of sodtware. I will be impressed if it ever starts thinking up new offside rules on its own, though :)

Let's face it, it couldn't do any worse .....

Mate- never took your post to be anything other than a legit question- certainly not argumentative. Discussion keeps the forum ticking. Keep posting. Xxx
