Would you want VAR scrapped?

I found the program quite interesting, despite being fronted by Michael Owen, and thought the officials actually came off better when you could hear the decision process and what they’re saying. It’s the complete lack of transparency until now that arouses suspicion. Still think VAR, and standard of refereeing in general, is shit but think if the crowd and television audience were able to hear the audio in real-time it would be a big step in the right direction.

Webb: "certainly appears Akanji has an impact on the goalkeeper who seems to hesitate"

With words like "appears" and "seems to" who could argue with such certainty.

VAR is garbage whether it goes for us or against us. If they insist on keeping it then we must hear the discussion in real time. The discussion should always go "this is fucking awful for fans, shall we get rid lads?"

Awk sure Roy Keane was just challenging for the ball too sure, right?

The fact the head of the refs doesn't even realise Ake’s header comes from behind a defender, which is the most likely cause of any delayed reaction from the keeper is scary… A significant lack of base level understanding of the game!!

Interesting that they didnt reference the Liverpool goal and compare it to City’s therefore it appears we are getting a huge helping hand from VAR
Not sure it’d really be in Howard Webb’s interests for people to think VAR benefits City tbh.

I think the narrative is that City have benefitted more than anyone else so watch out for a levelling up of decisions over the season
