Dont need to get rid of var, it just needs to be transparent the opaque nature of refereeing is what aggravates most fans, if they explained why they gave the decisions they did we might still disagree but at least we would know why and if nothing else would highlight their incompetence and make them accountable removing var removes any semblance of accountability

Of course they would introduce a resolution to abolish VAR instead of a package of resolutions to address the many issues with it, the biggest (and easiest to address) being transparency and speed of decision.

Sort out the bloody offside rule and VAR will be much easier to use

It’s pretty typical that we would choose to swim against the tide the rest of the footballing world is surfing. It’s never been var that is wrong. It’s the numpties that currently profess to be competent match officials.

reading a lot of social media comments in the last hr main fans seemingly wanting to keep it are arsenal and the rags.

others are more pointing out shit refs and stupid offside rule ruining it.

I think if clubs asks fans it would be overwhelmingly a vote to scrap it from most.

This is the problem, the way it has been used and fiddled about with has left many against it.
Yet watch a world cup or Seria A(now with refcams), or AFCON and you see it used effectively, then go to a game here and get deflated by it being implemented poorly.
