Absolutely love it.

Last seasons Liverpool farces almost made me walk away from the sport as what's the point in getting emotionally invested only for an idiot or cheater to undermine performances?

Let them take 10 mins per decision if it means the right call is made. They'll get faster and refine it.

I agree more transparency would make sense(micing ref, showing in stadium etc) but this is a great start. Last year we lose 2 of those goals to ineptitude.

I think the game was over well before then anyway, but that's not the point.

He should have played the correct amount of time (30 seconds per substitution, 30 per goal, plus the VAR farce). Even if he stopped the clock for VAR it still should have been at least 5 minutes at the end of the second half.

No he should not have.

It's called mercy. Continuing the game 5 seconds longer was in nobodies interest.

If he played 4 mins and Sterling took a knock you'd be blaming the ref ffs.

Unless you think he denied Schalke of a chance to comeback, give over.

Not sure where it says in the laws of the game that if a tam is getting battered the ref can show mercy and blow early. If that was the case then why didn't the ref blow for full time at half time.

Don't like it but concede- that providing the camera angles are correct it works for offside because that's a factual, however it cannot be used got penalty decisions because that's interpretative and down to human intervention and judgment. Anything can look like a foul or deliberate handball if slowed down and not in context. And no matter how we are told otherwise - nobody is 100% impartial.

Similar to when Aguero was taken out in the first few seconds of the Chelsea game in what should have been a sending off, and probably would have been later in the game. Imagine if Chelsea had then gone on to beat us when they should have been down to 10-men.

I don't give a shit how long it takes as long as decision is right. And it's almost perfectly right each time, unless some decision that has to be viewed differently by different people as rules are not perfect.

Well if we are name calling I think you are a silly sausage. VAR is crap. It was introduced to correct 'clear and obvious errors'. Citys second goal took 2 mins. 45 seconds to review, that is not correcting a clear and obvious error, that is getting a rule out and measuring millimetres. It totally spoils the enjoyment of match going fans. What is the point of jumping up and hollering at the top of your voice that Pep/City/Aguero are effin amazing 3 minutes after he scored ? I may as well wait for the highlights at 11pm.

Just watched the game again, approximately 11 n half minutes for var and goals(goal scored to restart) should have been 3 minutes for subs(6 x 30 seconds per sub) and about 3 minutes for injuries(Eric and Danny)
About 17 n half minutes lost out of normal play yet only 2 minutes injury time added on is a joke

Edit: add to this that the ball is only in play on average for about 60 minutes, think us fans are being short changed

As I sad I don't give a shit how long it takes. I wouldn't at WHL when they were scoring offside goals like on track few years too. It's important to call it right and rest is fine and will be better with time.
