VAR (PL introduction 2019)

Lad behind us got a text that Sterling was onside for his goal at least 30 seconds before ref gave it
They gotta speed it up
Joke that he checked Phil's goal

8 Var reviews.
7 goals
6 subs
2 added minutes

At 90mins he blew

I think the game was over well before then anyway, but that's not the point.

He should have played the correct amount of time (30 seconds per substitution, 30 per goal, plus the VAR farce). Even if he stopped the clock for VAR it still should have been at least 5 minutes at the end of the second half.

VAR and the officials using it are turning the game I love into a bore fest. What is the point of celebrating a goal anymore ? By the time we scored the 4th I was so pissed off with it all as it was becoming a joke. the second goal was reviewed for 2.45 seconds.

best thing that happened to football since Guardiola decided to become a manager. I seriously think anyone who doesn't like it is bit thick.

I don't give a shit how long it takes as long as decision is right. And it's almost perfectly right each time, unless some decision that has to be viewed differently by different people as rules are not perfect.

Brilliant, brilliant stuff.

why cant they show the replays on the screen at the ground as they do with cricket and tennis? Keeps the crowd involved and would actually add to the excitement.

I think it is only the timing what winds people up and I was at the match tonight and it's pretty frustrating when you cheer a goal once and then stop and wait and then sometimes cheer again.
One thing I think would be a good idea would be to use the sensors that players have in their vest in the middle of their back that they use for performance stats connected to the VAR system for offsides. It would speed up the offsides which seem to be the worst culprit for slowing the game down.
Obviously that would mean changing the rules so it doesn't matter which part of your body is offside, only the sensor.

Add to the excitement alright. If they showed the hand ball, given against PSG, there would of been a riot.
Likewise for the two penalties, schalke, were awarded at theirs.
If we could listen to the discussion surrounding the decisions , that may help, but showing 50,000 people, the video, culminating in a ludicrous decision, can only end in tears.

It might work ok tv but at the game it takes way to long. VAR is used if the ref makes an obvious mistake ref gave us 4 goals but someone somewhere thought tge ref had made an obvious mistake and ordered VAR than had to back the ref as he made the correct call. So who is the invisible man calling for VAR ??
