VAR (PL introduction 2019)

But surely it’s the worst feeling when a goal has been scored by a blatant offside or a blatant handball by officials not having a clue with the speed of the game.
It’s a travesty we’ve put up with it this long and at very long last we’re implementing ways to reduce to errors - the odd one will occur and will rightly be blown out of proportion. But they will always be relative to what we have put up with.
There’s plenty of times now when a teams scored, for fans to celebrate only for a flag to go up or the ref to point something out. We still celebrate.
Not two minutes later. I suggest you have a look at some German or Dutch fan forums where they hate it.

I just know that I’m going to be going mad about this every week. At first when it was rumoured that VAR was going to be brought in I thought it was a good thing. Problem for me is it takes all the emotion out of the game, which is why we go to the match, or one of the main reasons. If we’re all going to be waiting for VAR decisions after every goal and not celebrating, then they can keep it for me.

Plus the fact that a person that pays to for a ticket for a game gets a worse service than someone sat at home watching it in full knowledge of what's going on.

"If the VAR believes there is a definitive video clip which helps explain an overturned decision to fans, it will be broadcast on giant screens," the Premier League said in a statement

Err hello. If there isn't a video clip then the decision shouldn't be overturned as it cannot be shown to be a clear and obvious error. Selective screening is going to be a real recipe for corruption and bias

And that's why they don't give a fuck they would rather have you sat at home paying through the nose to watch it on their little box

Correct, which aids their eventual plan of touring the world with Premier League games.

Could be my last season ticket this year.
If VAR takes out all the spontaneity of the game what is the point of being there?
Look at the Spuds game and the disallowed goal.

Not like the dippers or rags can't afford some big screens. I mean my missus isn't running those clubs finances.
