VAR (PL introduction 2019)

So grounds like Turf Moor or Goodison can facilitate VAR, but the 2 teams with the most trophy wins can’t manage it !
What a crock of sh1t, the tail wags the dog again, they should be made to have it installed or face points deduction or suspended until they do install it.

CTID

EPL demonstrating their readiness to facilitate the wishes of their favoured teams .

Was all in favour of it but after the last few games where it has been implemented I am a no. Supposed to be a clear and obvious error but if it takes 3 or 4 minutes to see if someone’s big toe was offside then it is not clear and obvious. They even stopped the game after Raheem’s run on goal when it was clear he was well offside and should have been seen by the blind linesman.

Should be 20 sec max review if they can’t see anything in that time it ain’t obvious and you go with refs call

So two of the biggest teams in the PL voted against VAR ( as I understand it ), and now that it is being introduced, the same two teams are unable to show VAR replays in their grounds.

If I was less accepting of their complete integrity and impunity, I might think those two teams didn't want the the supporters to be able to see what the VAR officials see, which could expose a possible bias demonstrated towards those two teams.

Obviously the " technical difficulties " facing the two said teams cannot easily be rectified.

But all I ever hear is that VAR will benefit those two clubs - yet they voted against it.

No it's the opposite, they get decisions that they will not get with VAR,if they can put screens in the other old grounds in the prem the fact they say they can't put them at the home of the teams that VAR are going to hammer a tad suspicious

I think that the ref should be given 2 minutes max to review it. Also, any replays should be shown at full pace, rather than slowed down. I think that in slow motion it always looks worse.

if they refer to VAR and still make an error. The accusations of corruption will increase. Putting a time limit on consultation leaves a back door to swaying decisions. A ref could take his time in order to sway the outcome. Far better let them work out the best way to use it. It’s defo gonna change the game and make it much longer but if it cuts out cheating then it’s worth it Shirley.
