VAR (PL introduction 2019)

I was thinking about that the other day at Lingaard offside. It was really so minimal that that rule would be adequate.
And with the Lingard offside - how do we know that was the actual moment the ball left Barclay's(?) foot? a split second before he's a yard on side, a split second later he's a yard offside.

VAR ‘’get rid. It’s useless and full of corruption’’

No VAR - ‘’that decision is a joke. The ref is corrupt. This is why we need VAR!’’

I am 100% for VAR. There will be controversies but many, many more decisions will be right.

A lad at work said today that rather than be flagged if any part of you is offside, you should be allowed to play on if any part of you is onside.

It makes sense when you consider that offside was invented to prevent goal hanging.
I would like to go back to that, they have made it so complicated no fucker knows what offside is any more

VAR can and will be manipulated in such a way that favours one team over another. We've already seen it in the CL.

1. The REFEREE decides if he want's to use VAR.
2. Some UNNACOUNTABLE, faceless producer in the VAR cabin decides what the match officials get to see.
3. The outcome is still open to interpretation.

It just makes the game even more bent.

Agree entirely

That is a good idea, or perhaps a sensor in the boots which is the fixed point regardless of any other part of the body. Makes it all simple, augueros sensor is behind vvd therefore onside
I thought this a while ago, all the players wear the sensor in the back of their shirts for running stats etc. Why not link these up to the VAR to speed up offsides.

correct.

its simply a safety net to massage results in favour of the "elite" clubs.

They can find room for a extra 10,000 seats though!
