Ok. Tin hat on. He really doesn’t go through Jesus does he ? Looks like his foot backs off and just brushes his calf - there is the slightest contact though and in todays game I’ve seen them given - but I don’t think it was as blatant as everyone has made out. Sorry just my view on that !

To my mind, the calf kick (not given) is really only an issue because that type of thing HAS been given during the season.

It's the inconsistent application and assessment by VAR that causes grievance. Why that is still happening should be a real issue, but there seems little will to poke the situation from those in positions to do so.

Not at first, Neville said initially that it was not enough for a penalty, the point being if the bods in Var hear him before they have a look surely they will be swayed by his opinion. It was then compounded by the rapid volte face when they were able to see the kick to Gabbies leg from another angle. Radio interference from outside VAR should be banned .

Not sure there's a lot of argument on the one that was given as a penalty.

Exactly this - pretty clear that Neville didn't come out and say it was a pen until after the VAR check. So fucking obvious what's going on.
