Much more platforms to watch games nowadays then just BBC/ITV

Viewing figures nowdays don’t take into account iPlayer and various other streams

Has VAR ruined the game and are fans turning away from it ? Ask Argentina fans
So you're saying none of this would have happened without VAR or (could it even have been on a bigger scale without?) We will never know. Which makes your point mute at best. Considering you have said you were leaving this thread on countless occasions you keep coming back.... VAR is here to stay, you have nothing to prove. Those of us who don't like all/some of it realise it is a lost cause. So make a New Years Resolution and give us all a rest.

Love VAR. It should be much faster though - AI will probably make this happen.

The current VAR system has numerous drawbacks - there's still a human factor involved (in the 3rd-place World Cup game the incompetent on-field ref who was only present because he's from the host nation missed an obvious penalty in the box and somehow the VAR officials didn't even recommend that the play be reviewed).

Also VAR is too slow. Fans are left semi-celebrating a goal, worrying that a belated offside or other infraction might be called. This needs to be fixed - and it will be.

As the VAR is literally a human, I’m not sure how they’re going to remove the “human factor”?

Gotta say, at least the World Cup VAR is mostly pretty fast with their decision-making. Eg. Messi's goal in the final's ET when they were checking for offside.

If it's the PL, I reckon they'd be hitting the rewind and forward buttons for ages.

VAR offsides should be changed or a rule change that allows for it not being 100% correct because of technology and camera angles not being in line, why not use something like the old system of daylight between players and make it simple

I wonder if they'll show a corrected table?

this is going to be massive, the clubs will now demand answers and even call for it to be turned off
it could end up being the différance between winning the title or going down, to get it wrong 12 times is crazy and managers and players may lost their jobs because of this ?

if the officials are still getting it wrong under the clear and obvious VAR system, then turn it off
