How about my 2 recent hammers examples ?

Cresswell got a ball smashed in his face and the ref awarded a penalty - until VAR over turned

Bowen got taken out in the box and the ref pointed for a goal kick - until VAR over turned and we got the penalty

There’s been loads and loads of these nailed on decisions where the officials got it completely wrong and VAR have been there to correct it - how can you say VAR does nothing and they just agree with the officials when that’s not been the case ?

You can’t defend last night.

That’s the discussion here right now, last night and there is no point harping on about it getting something right now and then when the issue is it getting something so very wrong.

If it’s true that Anfield and Old Trafford for whatever reason are unable to implement the technology needed for VAR 100% then it’s a disgrace worthy of discussion at the highest levels.

Surely every PL stadium uses VAR, apart from what we have seen, has it been stated by the PL/PGMOL that these 2 don’t have it?

No but it seems likely given what is now being leaked more and more that for whatever reasons, there are issues with implementing the technology 100% at both grounds.

If it bollocks, fair enough but even Klopp said last night it’s the 2nd time at Anfield they can’t get all the angles needed so something isn’t right.

Remember the Rashford goal and how it was suddenly benefit of the doubt to the attacker? Not seen a single instance of that benefit since with equally tight calls?

Why?

They have it but, yesterday officials seemed to admit there is a blind spot* at Anfield. If it is not 100% accurate then it should not be used BUT they cannot allow Anfield to host games if they admit it isn't accurate.
The problem is there is no honesty or integrity in the PL or FA.

And this is the crux of it all. Do we know if all grounds have the same VAR capability?

If not, the whole system is fkd. This is the real question arising from the revelation last night. How limited is VAR at Anfield or anywhere else for that matter?
