Having just watched MOTD, those of you with iPlayer scroll to 1:20:00 on the catch up replay. When the Wolves third goal goes in, the lino keeps his flag down and starts walking back to the halfway line as if a goal has been scored. Who tells him to stop and put his flag up and why?

I actually think it's Alison who tells him to put his flag up.
He's the only one appealing

Despite it not benefiting any team on the day one way or the other - I can concede the argument that it’s either in place for the whole competition or not

So friend... Now it appears (as suspected) VAR is not able to be implemented equally in all premiership grounds, your own logic dictates it should not be in place for any...

They'll say that the Lino spoke to the ref to say he wasn't sure if it was offside or not, so the ref says well put you flag up then and we'll let VAR check it... Ref and lino "weren't aware" there was a blind spot..

The huge conflict of interest with VAR is that the broadcasters supply the pictures and dictate the angles and shots shown. The same broadcasters who are beholden to the sponsors and who all make more money out of showing Utd and Liverpool than any other clubs. It would be commercial self harm for either of those clubs to be permitted to lose in the third round, so the true VAR picture is simply withheld and on we go with Liverpool winning the replay and everybody happy. It is the same reason why it was a nailed on certainty that United were getting Charlton in the League Cup draw.

That goes against not putting the flag up and allowing VAR to find a reason to rule the goal out. That is what they are supposed to do if not 100% sure.

They have no way out of this other than to remain silent, which is what they will be and it will just go away unfortunately.
