Cheers Blue Mist. No such thing as a match commander as people perceive it. Simply there to ensure the technology is working and able to give all the angles etc. It's then up to whichever VAR official is on duty to refer to the ref if he believes it needs reviewing.
So he decides the angles like they did for llorentes goal, showed the ref angles not including the one he needed from behind the goal , they still have an influence on the game

Another 2 second offside check at Anfield that looked marginally off yet no lines and goal very quickly given.

VAR should have intervened and sent at least one off today as well.

You seriously want the Video Assistant referee to not be a referee? Interesting idea. I’ll give you that.
Yes I am serious. Train the person first but he/she wouldn't have any bias or prejudices whatsover if they hadn't been involved with the sport either as a supporter and professional.

First Bournemouth goal at the weekend should have been ruled out.

The day a video referee disallows a goal because a player encroached by a yard on KICK-OFF is the day we should just pack it all up.

Either the referee spots it and stops play immediately or we just carry on.

To disallow a goal for that is an absurdly disproportionate punishment for a minor infringement. It’s like sending somebody off for a foul throw.
