Veseli comments on Twitter (merged)

Yes his agent is a arsehole and Veseli has acted a prick last night and wasn't that good, but why is a player leaving us at 19 to join them. That is the question. How many games has Veseli played this year for the EDS? I wouldn't be surprised if more leave, unless you're Carlos Tevez, footballers want to play games and there is sod all at our club at this moment in time.

If you're good enough to be at a club challenging for honours you will play. Veseli isn't/wasn't good enough so was never going to get a look in

Why has he moved sidewards though and not down?

MUEN stirring the pot, even his agent didn't say it like that.

It's what he's insinuating though. I agree with him.

We should be very worried about this, as clearly Utd can spot great talent in youngsters:

Pique let go (now Barcelona)
Bebe
Diouff (sold to Hannover after 5 games and a loan spell at Blackburn after they bought him from Molde)
Macheda (on bench now for QPR)
De Gea
Obertan
Tosic and Ljajic
De Laet

I don't, if we'd given up on youth we wouldn't be building the new academy and publicly saying we want to be a self-sustaining club. We wouldn't have bothered to send a delegation to watch Guidetti rip apart Ajax the other day. Also, Mancini wouldn't have bothered giving Razak, Rekik, or Suarez any minutes at all. I think it's sour grapes, we haven't given up on youth, the youth just has to be really good to have a prayer. And Veseli isn't, Rekik is which is why at the age of 16 he had two first team appearances.

Spain U-18's beat Canary Islands U-18, 2-0. One of the goals from #MCFC midfielder Denis Suárez, who again, was fantastic.
Suárez: One instance, full-back pinged a pass 40 yards across the field, the #MCFC player plucked it from air with boot effortlessly. Class.

No doubt ill-judged comments and the timing is crass to say the least.
But if you were him where would you feel your best hope of getting a chance in the 1st team was?
At United where young players who show promise are put into the 1st team on a fairly regular basis or at City where - despite our suspensions and absentees - they never get a look in.
I don't pretend to be an expert and I am relying on what I see on video on the Official site but we seem to have several very promising young players. Juan Ramon for one - and what happened to Gal Assulin (the only time I've seen him lately was sat next to Patrick Vieira in the stand!) - we've got a goal drought - wouldn't the free scoring Harry Bunn be worth at least a punt?
I am a Mancini admirer but it does seem he is only interested in tried and trusted players and is very reluctant to take a chance. he is an excellent manager but - if he has a weakness it's his over cautios streak.
It's time to shake things up and bring some new blood in.
I'd say Vessell made a very sensible decision.

We bought Suarez, Roman, Rekik, Asulin, Pozo, Lopez and we have countless england youth internationals to complement them. What have we done with them? Are we doing a Chelsea and stock piling any half decent youngster who is going through a purple patch to avoid anyone else getting them?

Hows Abdul Razak supposed to break through if there are no games for Mancini, Kidd and Platt to see him in.

I can understand where Veseli and his agent are coming from, we've had a bit of a problem at centre half recently and neither him nor the likes of Wabara have had any opportunities to show Mancini they are worthy of a place on the bench. Now you might say Wabara never cut it at Ipswich but maybe he was never match fit because he had no game time before he went there?

I care 10 times more about this than i do about any bitter comments made by someone who either wasn't good enough or lacked the fight to make into our first team.

Well done Denis.
