I like Milner but tonight shows that if he plays right wing he just restricts Zabaleta.

It's interesting. Almost everyone would say that Silva is best when played centrally, yet tonight we've seen how good he is in that inside right position when he frees up the space for Zabaleta.

Its fair to say, Milner is a great player and tonight wasn't his. Don't read too much into it.

He is but when we come up against teams like that with a lot of players behind the ball, it reduces the space by loads.

And personally, I think he had his best games against teams that play a degree of attacking football.

I think we have had much the worst of the injuries of the title contenders, especially so since Chriistmas, and still have it in our hands with one game to go with a hundred goals in the bag. Perhaps 80% overall fitness sorted out by 150% effort, application and, well, just quality and skill. I love all of them; let's keep EVERYONE who played tonight.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our City defence.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
Let pry through the portage of the head
Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it
As fearfully as doth a galled rock
O'erhang and jutty his confounded base,
Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean.
Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest Citizens.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!

It's bluemoon not fucking game of thrones.

Anyone else watching find themselve thinking of the Soriano video posted earlier in the week. Our display & his talk of our clubs philosophy was practically mirrored this evening. We won the City way tonight and I loved it!

Agreed, but I visited the throne three or four times during the match.....

when you are trying to breakdown a 10 man back-line, there's no exact formula, Swapping Milner for Jovetic was key cos it made the 3 CB's think more, so by then, after the 1st goal, Villa's plan for a point was futile.

I'd be disappointed to be a Villa fan, safe from relegation, nothing to play for, relax and enjoy football in a tough season ... what does the manager do ... revert to type. Secretly hoped they went down so they'd have to change. But hey, sounds like Lerner's selling up ... can we buy it and call it the B-Team? lol

Yaya Toure is a Joy to watch. That goal was just one of the most fantastic moments of my footballing life, he just ran and ran and you knew he'd put it in

We just need one more result now and then we can breath
