Was the most blatant red card offence you will come across for a foul. How he got away with nothing I'll never know.

He got away with it because it was the second minute, nothing else. If it was later on he would have been off, I guess the ref just thought it would end the match if he sent him off and a penalty was a sufficient punishment. To be honest If I was the ref I wouldn't have sent him off either, I would have just booked him and gave the pen. At the end of the day neutrals want to see a football match and the FA have to protect the interest in it, and not just see a one sided match.

So rules dont apply then if the offence happens in the first few minutes of a match?

I think the two Villa yellows were right decisions, Carrick should have been booked also, but It would have been very harsh for Rafael to get booked for challenging in the air like that.

How did Rafael elbow him? wise up mate and watch the game rather than just being biased all the time. We all know who we wanted to win today but that doesn't mean we should tell lies about what we actually saw. Rafael challenged in the air unfairly, it was a free nothing more.

Decisions went to both teams, Villa got a penalty, United didn't. Vidic could have went off but didn't. It evened itself out.

I don't understand why fans like you think United only win because of Refs, it's football for fuck sake, there is no mafia at the top of the game deciding everything. It all evens out.
