Villa Vs City Post Match Thread

Pellegrini man of the match today.

Excellent game management.

Secured the 3 points by bringing on the colossal Fernando and changing the whole flow of the game.

Shame he seems to act after everyone else watching has already seen what needs changing, surely a highly paid top manager should be ahead of the curve?

Can the arguments be taken to PM or relevant threads?
No arguments pal.Just trying to see yaya was class tonight?

We saw a Yaya who wasn't being pushed forward for large parts of the game nd thus isn't at his best. It was the same last year but when we change it and he gets license to go, he is a game changer, as he was tonight.

For the record I would have cashed in on him during the window but we didn't and I'm sure come the season end he will have had a great season again.

I don't wish to criticise a man who won us a double but I agree, everyone has been calling for 5 midfielders for a while, and it proves it works.

Thought Silva was outstanding in that second half, on another day he could have assisted four or five goals. They seemed completely incapable of picking him up in those little holes just in front of the defence, such a clever player with his movement and we all know his qualities when he picks up the ball in those areas. Rarely wastes a pass and is always looking to open the defence up, such a high success rate for those clever balls releasing Aguero/Dzeko/Zaba/Kola, etc.
