Villa Vs City Post Match Thread

Lambert as usual mentioned the 2 goal scorers cost more than his entire team but didnt hear him mention money spent after playing arsenal, liverpool or chelsea recently

Can the arguments be taken to PM or relevant threads?

Forum for opinions mate.

All for that but if it's centred around Yaya then maybe the Yaya thread is the best place?

Happy with the points but it shouldn't detract from the fact we were fuckin abysmal for 80 mins

WTF???????!!!!????? You absolute halfwit!

We were around 70% possession for the whole match. 69% at half. 68% at FT. How does he get "abysmal" out of that?

Thankfully Yaya kicked a hole in that parked bus. It is part and parcel of why I can never get too mad at him. Felt like we could have hit little tippy passes from now until the year 2020 and never scored before that point.

Milner put some nice ones in in the first half. I think Kolarov would have scored on that first shot had it not been deflected.

These parked bus teams are always a nerve-wracking watch when 0-0. I'm way less nervous against quality opposition that is actually coming at us!

Well done for understanding that much. Subtitles? Did he explain why he kept Darren Bent (24 million pound signing) on the bench?

Victories like today win titles. It shows how much we have missed Fernando, Villas attacking threat was taken away as soon as he came on. Mangala also looked more comfortable with him on the pitch.

Yeah, and if Villa hadn't voted for FFP then maybe they could have been dining at the top table.
You've made your bed Villa, now lie down with the fleas.

cream always rises to the top.

yaya was the cog today, everything came through him. top game.

but SPANISH DAVE........... truly fantastic.

I felt this was an awesome performance. Against a team that defended deeper than stoke we kept going and probed and prodded. Defended very well when needed to.
Played like the champs.

When it comes to turning against one of our own players, fans here seem to do a great job. Even when that player just won us a game to prevent us from falling too far from the league leaders. Not to mention said player was magnificent just last season, a title winning season. Honestly, when did so many here become spoilt, self righteous fans?

Fucking rubbish. Many aren't TURNING against anyone. Yaya is getting some criticism because he hasn't been at his best
or anywhere bloody near it. Oh the irony, in the highlighted bit.

Sorry, meant to add. I thought we did well today. I know it's nice to get an early goal, but it shows that we are playing/fighting
till the end. Few off the boil first half but we could've won by more in the end. Happy days, 3 points & clean sheet :-)
