Vincent Kompany injuries

As well as Otamendi has played in recent weeks, I still worry slightly for the sanity of anyone who doesn't believe a fit Kompany is a significant upgrade on him.

A fit Kompany doesn't exist, so Otamendi is now by far the better option. I worry slightly for the sanity of anyone that can't see that! ;)

I actually disagree with the notion that a fit Kompany is better than a fit Otamendi in a good defence. It's a mute point though as Kompany is never fit for long enough. Ssdly he's finished in the Premier League and needs to move to a country with good weather and a slower style of play so he can play as often as his legs allow.

Is Kompany now in the same catagory as Ledley King ? All the talent and ability to be close to/if not the best but the body cannot keep up.
It's such a shame to have one of the world's finest injured, return from injury and get broken again playing for Belgium.

So Kompany should be fit to play after international break right ?? Ideally he is not called up by Belgium.

On the bench vs Leicester and a start against Feyenoord???

Not saying he walks right back into the starting line up but with so many games coming up after the break we will need him to rotate.

IMO Kompany is now a one match a week player. He should never again play more than that. His fitness needs to be managed.

I think the thinking of the club now is that if he can’t handle 90minutes against Gibraltar, then he couldn’t handle shorter game time in a prem game . I tend to agree with that .

The trouble with him going is that he has a carefully planned recovery plan which won't be same there,thats why he gets injured there or just after coming back i think and no international manager seems to care what state the players come back in so long as they can play for them,vinny shouldn't play if he doesn't feel right,trouble is he really wants to play,i take your point about getting mins but i would rather he gets them here under pep and our doctors
