I really don't understand the offside rule anymore.. I'd rather go back to if your offside you're offside.

It's fair simple.
If your offside is while wearing a red shirt you're not offside. If your offside is in a blue shirt you're offside. ;-)

Troy Deany definitely offside when the punt was made forward. He brought it down when it came down from the Stratosphere.

Look at the extended highlights on the City site. When the Keeper takes the free kick, Deany and the Scorer are both offside. 7:01m in the replay of the goal on the highlight reel.

Me too, I can see us winning 7. The big one is the Rags away. There is no denying they are a much better team now than they were under Maureen and will be up for the game against us. However they failed to beat the Dippers and we are a better team.

I will happily take 7 wins and a draw.

Very subjective. The offside rules have evolved into a completely unintelligible mess which are open to interpretation by any match official.
This is what they want.
They never expected one of theirs to interpret it to our benefit.

MOTD boys didn’t miss a heart beat - offside was the cry, no debate.

It’s a shambles of a rule, they’ve made it so much more complicated.

I don’t think Raz makes a kick at the ball until he sees Jamaat slide in, he kind of does a wee skip. I can see why the ref gave it, and was delighted he did.

First goal was definitely offside. If not then they definitely need to change the wording of the rules again.

It was as much offside as the guy Fern gave the penalty away against in the Schalke game, if not more so.

We should have scored 5 or 6 today though. The first wouldn’t matter so much then.

Your middle paragraph hits the nail in the head, the narrative there from the panel and Peter the prick was that he wasn’t offside at the point he was fouled....even though he was running to play the ball.
