Even Walton says thats the law although he then went on to spew some other shite to try and back his original assessment that it should not have stood but had to say the interpretation from the ref is what it is so goal.

I will say this though, im not spending the fucking evening arguing the toss on a City forum about if it was or wasnt a goal or not.

Fill your boots if you feel so strongly about it.

more onside than milner v west ham so i'll think we'll leave it there ;-)

Me too, I can see us winning 7. The big one is the Rags away. There is no denying they are a much better team now than they were under Maureen and will be up for the game against us. However they failed to beat the Dippers and we are a better team.

I will happily take 7 wins and a draw.

If The Dippers draw 1...just 1...it means we have a safety net of being able to lose 1.

Mahrez slowly finding his feet. Think he had a decent game. An assist to Sterling and the pass to Silva that could have had a better destiny. Seems like he’s slightly quicker in the decision making now. Was slightly worried about this game, great to have it out of the way and an international break as leaders.

Not necessarily. Liverpool play twice prior to it

Not sure what people are moaning about, it was a highly contentious decision in an otherwise fairly dull game and it happened to be the first crucial goal in a game where Watford looked very comfortable first half and the game changes entirely once we've made the breakthrough, of course they are going to talk about it. As much as its benefitted us, it appears the ref got wrong, but whether it's right or wrong by the laws of the game 99% of people agree that the laws need to be clear so thatthis kind of decision is in no doubt at all about it being offside in the future.

It's a stupid rule which seems designed so that officials can fix games. It's not supposed to be used as the first goal in a City v Watford game, but another possible way to give Utd or Real Madrid a last minute winner in the Champs Lg etc, imo. In that respect, the ref has misinterpreted the rules.

But when it happened, I though then that the narrative would be how it 'changed the game' when the truth is that City came out with a bit more vigour & Watford continued with their shit, pedestrian defending.

They were still lined up in exactly the same way, when the 3rd went in. Then, they changed.
