We can still qualify and it is very possible

Why dont we play the Theme from Terry and June?

Why?

I've just had to remind myself on YouTube how the theme tune goes.

Because after last night it sums up our pathetic performances in Europe-Truly Awful (Like that crappy alleged comedy series, and its awful tune!)

I say! Steady on old man. Nothing wrong with Terry and June. Funnily enough I saw Terry Scott last night in a cameo as the country copper in Murder Most Foul. At one point he was standing next to Windsor Davies. You can make a career out of a few facial expressions, repeated, often.

Not necessarily. We obviously need 6 points, and if Roma beat CSKA and then CSKA fail to beat Bayern we would have 7 points, Roma would have 7 but we would go through on head-to-head. If CSKA beat Roma we are fucked but hopefully it will be a draw! I still think we have a chance, but we must dramatically improve
Looks like we'll both be on remedial maths.

IF CSKA beat Roma and lose to Bayern they'll be on 7, if we beat Roma and Bayern we'd be on 8, CSKA 7 and Roma 4. If Roma beat CSKA, and lose to us they'd be on 7, CSKA 4, then assuming (small assumption I know) we beat Bayern we'd be on 8 again. Happy days assuming the small thing....

Right now, I can't see us winning either so its all a bit pointless, but sorry my maths made yours bad too.

So if we win our last two matches were through on 8 points? It's doable.

Don't have a clue how I got 2+6=7! It's even better now we can reach 8 points. CSKA vs Roma doesn't have to be a draw, if we win both games the likelihood is that we'll be through barring unexpected results (e.g.CSKA winning in Munich)

All cska n Roma needs to do is play out a draw and for us to beat Roma even if we loose to bayrrn ,cska are a better team than they were last season, bayrrn only managed a solitary goal against them, funny things have happend in football so who knows we might

It's just a cash cow aimed at boosting UEFA's coffers.
I think you'll find it boosts the coffers of the teams in it too, AND if we weren't in it, we wouldn't have been winning league titles or cups either.
Everything is commercialised in sport including the Premiership, but when Aguero buried that goal we weren't getting the calculator out.

The Champions League is the ultimate benchmark of clubs in European competition and I'm getting a bit fed up of fans inventing excuses as to why ritual defeat in Europe doesn't matter. I want to see City succeed in England and Europe.

I want to see City measure ourselves against Messi and Ronaldo and Robben. I want to be part of that. If Man utd and Chelsea can do it, why can't we?

We will, that's why I'm patient, these things take time, we're clearly not anywhere near it yet, but who knows we could scrape through, and then see what happens.

Bang on the money that, and anyone saying that the champs league is not worth is fuckin deluded
