We WILL win the league next season.

Have been quietly confident for a while now. Feel so upbeat about the season.
Can't believe so many on here haven't picked up on how good we really are and are still worried.
People say Newcastle were poor, yeah because we made them look poor. Never gave them time
on the ball to hurt us and when they tried to get their attackers into the game. Bang the door was slammed shut.
I know we will meet a lot better sides, but im confident that we have plenty of room to ramp up our game another
notch.

The best squads are imo;
Bayern,
Real,
Barca,

In that order but the best starting eleven being Barca's. Bayern are unbelievably strong and amaze me with all their options, last season they were stacked but now they have Thiago and Gotze (2 of the best young-players in the game, the latter being very special) and it's almost unfair. Madrid have more stars/world class players but they are light at wingback quality other than Marcelo which is compounded by Coentrao outbound. If you compare to Bayern you see my point.

Back to City, ideally we'd replace Kolarov with Baines and bring in a top CB but that's next summer if not now, cover at the back is a paramount purchase to be blunt.

I think Chelsea need a quality RB, a holding midfielder and a striker. Their qualities have already been said by others, they are very strong but need a few additions who will upgrade their eleven starters.

United need to add world class into their midfield. A box to box midfielder who will help to boss that territory. Vidal or Gundogan would be perfect for them imo. Kagawa is shit hot and they also still have Rooney who acts as a forward and attacking mid, but Cleverly just aint cutting it for me, I think they rue the loss of Pogba but pretend not to. Lads ripping it up in Italy for Juventus, but they sacrificed him for a 6months 2nd spell of Scholes and a couple of quid in wages.

Is Willems from PSV not a decent alternative to Kolarov? Is fast, can get down the wing and can actually tackle?

Told you before nip
It's harder for us not win it than win it

That's when you said you would be happy with 2nd and even 3rd on pelles first season
Glad you have seen the light :)

Get to the bookies and lump on and lump on again.

I would be happy as it's a rebuild and new manager but all along I have said I feel we can win it and target that. Not keen on us loaning Barry out whilst retaining Garcia but hey ho.

Europe is important for me and the clubs stature, getting out the group is vital and once out of it I think we have as good a chance as anyone. I'm bang up for it.

-- Tue Aug 20, 2013 11:58 pm --

Not seen much of him but know he's highly rated. Kolarov may like the high line but watching him track back will shit me right up.

Way too early to work out who the main threat is. Look at last season... Chelsea flew out of the traps and looked incredible. Hazard, Mata and co were tearing everyone apart. Then they dropped off the pace. Way too early for predictions. Just got to play the games, have a "one at a time" mentality and see what's what later in the season.

Chelsea have done that a few times in the last few years and everyone says they are the team to beat, the moral of the story is, it aint over till it's over, it's a bloody long season, and this season looks like it's going to be very competitive, even Spuds look like they could challenge. Many a trip and fall along the way
Chelsea are weaker at the back and weaker in defensive midfield than us. You'd be a brave man to argue that they are match for us as an attacking threat too, although that's their strength. They can't match aguero and they can't match silva.

They don't scare me one bit, Jose or not.
I agree with you I was just using them as an example about early season form it's a marathon not a sprint as they say

Given Newcastle an absolute tonking and still got Richards, Nastasic and Jovetic to enter the fold. A CB short but by end of the window a very tidy squad up there with anyone in Europe.

We shall fight them at the bridge,
We shall fight them at the swamp
We shall fight till the end,
We shall never surrender,
We will win the league,
We are City!

Lets see how we do away. Cardiff will be a chance to show if we have improved at breaking teams down who park the bus a bit. I hope to god we have

I have a feeling Cardiff won't have learned yet that their best chance is backs to the wall for 93 minutes. Buoyed by the confidence of promotion,
I think they will fancy playing football and are going to get a right pasting for it.

I am not going to make any predictions ever again!
