Welcome Kyle Walker

The first four headlines, after the live Arsenal friendly this morning, are all Manchester United on the Mail website.

Yesterday, I read a range of journalists picking the one striker they'd love at their club. All bar two picked Harry Kane! It's no wonder we get what we get from our media.

Ideally we need to be producing our own players of the right quality. Our record of doing this since the takeover is very poor. Very disappointing given the investment in the academy.

He is a solid player and you have to pay what you have to pay if you want something badly enough.
The investment in the academy began with our current U18 squad. They're not ready yet but give it time.

Really ? I don`t dislike Lineker and have not seen the article. However in the past he has given City some praise and stuck up for us on MOTD.Whats the tweet actually saying ?

The only time I have seen him make any positive comments was towards the end of last season. The cynic in me saw him making them through gritted teeth. It was also after a number of Bluemooners made a point of pushing Petegate and several other BBC non neutral items. He was in the position where the other 2 pundits were having a go and he was forced to try to make it look more even handed.

Who's we? It's certainly not me.

Don't be so precious, it's only a matter of time before they are worth their weight in gold.

The rags started it and it looks as though the rags will finish it, they have FFP on their side.

I actually think Utd pay some media organisations to market them - always lots of articles and nearly all positive (also would explain our negative press). Don't buy this click bait argument- the ridiculous 659m fans claim is utter bollo, would be amazed if it was really any more than 1% of this figure. In reality a lot more football fans dislike / hate the ****s than like them, therefore negative articles about them would receive many more clicks. Anyway, welcome Kyle.

Basically saying what would walkers value be if he could actually cross a ball. Nasty big eared ****

Unusual for a club to officially state a player was surplus to requirements , simple fact is Walker fell out with Pinocchio when he was dropped for the FA Cup Semi Final against the Chavs and Walker then wanted out , Levy & Pinnchio can put what ever spin they want on the transfer , simple fact is they have lost an excellent footballer to their title rivals , and the decision to sell Walker it will not hasten their nearly 60 year wait for a league title. Often wonder why the two big North London clubs consider themselves title contenders when in effect they are now our feeder clubs.

The media organisation you suspect is without doubt based at the swamp and is managed by bacon face and his foot soldier cronies masquerading as journalists.

A lot of there ex players are on the payroll to keep spouting the myth.

To be fair, the vast majority of that money was spent on a huge academy building and facilities which opened 2 years ago. I'm no expert in player development, but I'd say we'll have to wait a bit longer than 2 years to judge it. Any player getting into our team now (like Iheanacho) would say far more about our recruitment of talented young players from other clubs than our ability develop players.

Nope. Not a fact at all. Terms had already been agreed with City by then and Spurs being told of Walker's wish to leave led to him being dropped. You're the wrong way around.

To be fair, Harry Kane did score 35 goals in 38 games last season. You can hardly blame them for that.

Only us Prem teams ruining it for ourselves...Ac Milan got Bonucci for £35mil when many on here were saying we should pay like £60mil for him about a month ago

No. It's the TV companies paying for it, that is "ruining it". Every man and his dog know how rich the Premier League clubs are.
So the fees go up accordingly.
