Welcome Matheus Nunes | Signing confirmed on a five-year deal

Exciting signing, very happy we’ve got him. We desperately needed more midfielders and to get an international with PL experience is just what we wanted.
 
Adds some depth to the midfield that we've been missing since merlin left us. Interesting that nobody really knows exactly where he's going to fit in at the minute, I see him as a second kovacic, who himself is a second Bernardo and you can never have enough Bernardo's.

Think we will likely mainly see us set up with him or kovacic alongside Rodri with an alvarez/foden type ahead of them but this will also give pep the confidence to rest Rodri and play Nunes and kovacic together in certain games.
 
This transfer is going to surprise a few. Nunes will bomb forward like Kev. He is very good at keeping the ball and constantly twisting and turning out of problems. Mainly used to counter attack at wolves but will need to get his short passing game going when we keep possession. Plays multiple positions and a good fee.

Sorry can’t see any downsides. Another potentially brilliant buy.
