Welcome Savinho | Signs for £21m on a 5 year deal

Neither Bobb nor Savio will start. Bernardo will start.

We are so stacked in attacking midfield/wings it's hard to see how we keep all these players happy.

KDB, Phil, Jack, Jeremy, Oscar, Savinho, Bernardo for 3 spots.

Having said that, maybe we could play Bernardo in CM more.

He won’t , Savio will start. At the start of the season Pep always plays the new signings. Doku and Gvardiol last year. Grealish when he signed immediately played as well

Grealish was a £100m signing. He was signed to go straight into the team.

Not sure what you mean, but this is my take on the current state of our team:

XI: Ederson (Ortega here and there), Akanji, Dias, Ake, Gvardiol, Rodri, Kev, Foden, Jack, Bernardo and Haaland.

This is what I see as our best 11. You could make an argument for Jeremy instead of Jack ( I am sure they will share the minutes), or Stonesy instead of pretty much anyone in our back 4. Otherwise, the likes of Alvarez, Walker, and Kovacic will most likely play a lot as well, in and out of the team. Then, we have Savinho, and I expect him to be eased in, although I am sure he will still get a decent amount of time. Oscar Bobb has been our best player during the USA tour, but I worry he is not going to get the minutes he deserves. I believe @JWCH-99 touched upon this topic already. Not to mention that once Kalvin inevitably goes (I don't even count him), I expect us to bring in a quality DM, and whoever that ends up being, will be a quality player not here to sit on the bench too much. Otherwise, I expect Nunes to get his chances to see if he can actually make it with us, and the same goes for Rico. Both need to figure it out in terms of their best position and where they fit in the team.

edit: I forgot Pep wants to keep McAtee. Not sure he would get the minutes he needs with us.

I said it yesterday, I think. Unless someone leaves, I have no issue going into the season with this as the first team, augmented by Nunes, McAtee, Doyle.
I think we have to accept that Rodri is irreplaceable, and his rest will be taken within the squad: possibly Gvardiol/Stones alongside other strong midfielders.lineup (3).png

You've just done it again - every post is a journey ;-)

Bargain. I really wish we had just fully taken the piss with the transfer fee though, announce it as something pitiful like £3 million just to watch the desperate weirdo's really lose the plot over it.

Happy with him, pace, directness are so important right now against these blocks we face every week, getting another player that specialises in that to add to Doku is hugely important for the balance. Hopefully he can prove to be a regular goalscorer too.

Unless there's any significant outgoings to replace, I don't think we need anything else in attack now. Get a Rodri an adequate understudy and potential partner and a fullback, possibly even two and we'll be good to go.
Or 11.5 mil
