Wesley Sneijder

I am hoping once we have the Sanchez deal done then and only then do we move for this guy, no point giving Inter money before Sanchez done and no point selling boateng until we have signed a replacement first. Glad we are doing it at our pace and not everyone elses.

I just don't see him wanting to come to us. If he comes to the prem it will be the rags. TBH I would prefer to see Fab Modric Nasri Pastore or Mata but that's just my opinion.

Completely different...I believe this time in a few months we'll be cheering on Sneijder, simply because we are definitely going to buy another playmaker (Manchini said so), and I believe a proven one at that. So Sneijder is available, we have enough central European players (+ Lukuka [maybe]) in the squad to sure him through.

Worth giving this thread a bump seeing as TH reckons there is going to be a battle royal between us and rags for this player.

Great player would he come to city though ?

Couple of factors give me more hope in signing this player as opposed to Sanchez.

1) If Rags blow their dosh on Sanchez and it looks like if nothing else we have made them pay more than they wanted to, not sure whether even they have the money left to make a realistic bid.

2) Sneijder is a mercenary he has already said that he would play for another club as long as wages exceed 200k per week.

3) Inter have expressed a wish for Tevez, if he was included in the deal you would be swapping one 200K per week player for another.

4) NDJ is at the club and must know the guy so no doubt he could give him any information about Manchester etc.

5) If Tevez is included in the deal neither Inter or ourselves going to get hammered by the FFPR.

6) If Tevez leaves we may need another striker and for me it seems sensible to get Eto o as well, whether Inter would be willing to part is another thing but no doubt it would be worth a shout.

The only things I can see against the deal is he the player has expressed a desire to go to rags.

Finally looking at the rag forum they would prefer Sneijder over Sanchez, and in many respect I agree, I would prefer Sneijder at City over Sanchez he is the one player I believe would really fit in well besides NDJ, Silva and Yaya.

Sneijder would come to City if we want him and meet his demands, so long as United and Chelsea don't do likewise. And if United have backed out, we have a great chance of getting Sneijder - again, if we are genuinely interested in him.

Sneijder is the best in the world in his position but the main worry with him are his knees, he rarely completes a full season without some sort of injury.

Just posted in the Sanchez thread because Sneijder's name was mentioned in there and I'll say the same here.

Am I the only who isn't interested in Sneijder because we have Silva?

It might sound like a silly comment but Silva should be the guy in the middle pulling all the strings because of how good he was last season. We can't just dismiss how good Silva was last season because an arguably bigger name has come into contention.

cant say I rate him that high. Defo wouldn't pay 200,000 a week for him. He's lazy and appears to get disinterested if things are going badly.
Much rather buy somebody younger with potential like Pastore.

Hello? Its Sneijder we're talking about - you're obviously thinking of someone else............

Wonder what the new coach of Chelsea will have to say on the subject?
He worked with him at Inter and Guus rates him highly. Can't call it though. Think there's a slim chance United will sign him considering his wages and the fact that Rooney plays in his position.

He could play deeper though. Frankly the intention will probably be to play him in Scholes position.

But why? He's an archetypal No.10. Why spend a lot of money and wages on someone who is world class (IMO) in that position just to use him as a CM?

Since Deco left chelski, they have had no real playmaker in midfield, he was awesome for them. I think they have just reailsed that and will go all out for Sjnider or that totenham guy.
Schniders mrs is fit and if they move to the pl she wants the bright lights to shine on her magnificent breasts.I would rather we sign his bit of fluff as we have silva
