Chelsea have eyes on Pastore..............
The real question here is why don't we? :(

He needs to fill the hole that vieira has left and they see sneijder to be that player.

The respect and the experience he holds in all competitions would be an asset to the squad, on and off the field.

They may look at Pastore and see that Silva and him are too alike with sneijder bringing more to the squad as a whole?

On the contrary Sneijder and Silva are more similar players than Silva and Pastore imo.

I think Sneijder would be expected to play a slightly deeper role if he came with Silva in the hole, or Sneijder in the hole and Silva out wide cutting in?

Probably an attacking midfield like
-----------Tevez---------------
Silva-----Sneijder-----Sanchez/Johnson
------Yaya--------NDJ---------------

Gave it a tidy up and chucked the bulldog up front ;)

Christ on a bike! When you see that midfield knowing Tevez is spearheading the attack its fuckin frightening.

To see that just shows how far we have come to potentially having that line up come August 7th

seems steep in the price but i really hope we make a big push on sneijder as i think he would be a huge player for us!! especially in the champions league.

But Sneijder has never played that Role ever. The only time he has not played trequartista was his first season at Madrid (he played LM) and wasn't great.

Pastore on the other hand can actually play out wide and beat a man.

Mata is the solution, dont want this guy if the figures being thrown around are anywhere near true. Some may say this is controvesial, no, just practical and logical. Mata 22 Sneijder 27, Mata circa £25Mill, Sniejder £40mill, Mata wages circa 100,000 to 120,000, Sneijder wages circa 150,000 to 250,000. Both have CL experince but Mata has a proven partnership with Silva and has successfully played on the left and in the middle.

^Jesus Christ, I like Mata too but parade it in the Mata thread and stop riding so hard man.

So can Sneijder. He's known for being a damn good dribbler. He definitely can, but he's a lazy fuck 95% of time. Other 5% of the time he's magic.

I really doubt that we're in for Sneijder. His only position would be the hole - which would mean that we're replacing Yaya with a tiny guy that can't tackle and doesn't track back. It doesn't seem like Mancini's style, at all.

Sneijder was too lazy for a 4231 in the CL (where Mourinho made wingers out of Eto'o and Pandez, and played a 4411), I can't see how he could play in a PL midfield three.

And for £30m-ish? Sorry, it's nonsense.

If Tolmie's right then, we are. So far he's been ahead of all the media with ALL of the twists and turns of the Sanchez saga so I know who I'm going with.
