I know its not right to use one game as an example, but did you see Inter v Barca during their CL winning season? In fact, for that whole season he worked as hard as anyone could ask. He can dominate a midfield. It depends on the coach motivation to get the best out of him I think. I don't think its fair to just label him lazy for convenience.jjeangi said:So can Sneijder. He's known for being a damn good dribbler. He definitely can, but he's a lazy fuck 95% of time. Other 5% of the time he's magic.

jjeangi said:Well center predominantly, but he definitely has no problems drifting out wide, etc. He's no winger for sure though. However, if he drifts out wide, do note that he crosses well.

A nice little highlight vid, missing some good clips but great highlights nonetheless:

I tried to look for a free kick compilation to show you guys, but I couldn't find one. A lot of people are saying he's the best free kick taker right now. But that's all opinions, I'd say Ronaldo. We can argue this all day, but if he comes to the Premier league, he just might be the best free kick taker in our league.
Here's a good article comparing him to other kick takers. It has english captions under the Italian words:

But yeah, you guys already know Sneijder. I personally think he's the time of midfielder we need to complement the team.
Edit: He also despises Robin Van Persie. That always helps I guess. :P

But then again, who is the trequartista, Silva, or Sneijder?

Yaya's in the trequartista position - we don't have a No. 10 role, because we sacrifice that for defensive solidity. So do most teams.
Thus any creative signings are either:
a) going to play off a wing like Silva or Sanchez, or
b) going to be able to put a shift in - like Fabregas, Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard.
We no longer have any Cantonas, Bergkamps or Zolas in this country. For a long time, the most forwardly-positioned of the midfielders has been in the Gerrard/Lampard mould. The Joe Coles, Silvas, Nasris, Arshavins all get pushed to the wings.
Wrong. Yaya plays in the hole, but he is not the trequartista. That is indisputable. Silva, currently is.ST Coleridge said:jjeangi said:Well then Sabster, what DO we need, eh?

I myself would rather have Mata, but very few have Sneijder's range of passing, long range shooting accuracy, added to the fact that in my opinion he's the best free kick taker in the world. I don't see anything bad that can come from it.
But then again, who is the trequartista, Silva, or Sneijder?
He's come out since that saying he is open to an exit and thanking inter for everything so I thinks he's defo leaving!Super David Silva 21 said:This is the same Sniejder who said he is going nowhere???

Sabster said:IMO we need someone who can create from wide and someone who can create from deep ("Regista").
We have 1 of the best Trequartista's in the world - why on earth would we bring in a more expensive less talented older trequartista???
Bollocks. Yaya as a box to boxer would solve that problems. General consensus is that's what's planned, but no one knows.ST Coleridge said:Now - are you going to play Sneijder off a wing? Because we can't afford to put him in the Yaya position, it'll leave our midfield too light and too fractured.
