West Brom Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

A look at the fixture table at the beginning of the season would have revealed that this few weeks would be a challenge for us no matter where we were in the table, who was leaving in January, and however anyone else was doing.

Football: not easy to follow without a brain.

So once again some numpties appear to have "conspiracy" at the top of the agenda, for United catching us up.
About time some of you spotty kids realised that teams do NOT roll over deliberately to get beaten.
Its just pathetic and cringeworthy reading some of this shite.

Hi to all the rags reading some of these comments and pissing their sides at some of the mard arses who have given up hope.

Don't forget the more sensible wait a while, let the dust settle and then have something constructive to say. Quite a few just blurt out the first thing that comes into their heads and make some stupid comments - saying that they are probably the ones that thought we'd tied the PL up at the swamp so it goes from one extreme to the other.

I think we've been slowly going off the boil for a few weeks and today summed up that slow decline. Teams will hit form a couple of spells a season. United are now in their second good patch and we need to match that. Hopefully they will lose momentum when they come up against the better teams. That's no use if we drop points against massed defences of lesser teams. Today was crying out for some width & Johnson should have been on all 2nd half.
Uniteds recent success is coming with Nani & Valencia getting behind defences. Bobby needs to re-think our tactics.

Had a feeling we wouldn't win today. Hodgson seems to get the better of us whenever we come up against one of his teams.

They defended really well but you can't help but feel United would have won in our position.

So frustrating how we have been by far the best team in the league this year but you just know United are going to win it.
Got an awful feeling you're right

West brom are at the top of their game at the moment, we all know teams and officials are rolling over for the rags, we did not lose so is it a point gained. I still think it will come down to the derby at ehtiad,
What like when Evans was sent off against us? or when Newcastle were awarded a penalty at the Stretford End that was so blatently a corner? or when.................

Have ten goals in two games all come from the ref making the wrong decisions? NO! United have started playing well, end of. Please can all Blues shut the fuck up about "officials rolling over for the Rags" it's absolute bull shit!

We just need to keep accumulating points. We've been average as often as we've been good recently and we've got a very tough January. But we need to stop blaming referees or consipracy bollocks and just comncentrate on supporting our team - oh and stop singing shit fucking songs ie."we'll score when we want"!

Bang the fuck on. A part of me dies inside when people post shite about teams rolling over everytime the rags win.

Wigan, West Brom, Fulham, Blackburn, Wolves etc.. These teams are cannon fodder for the top five in the premiership. If you can't beat them, then you don't deserve to be champions. End of story. Worry about our team and stop monging on about them all the time.

No team deliberately gets beaten (except in Italy) but some teams go into games with the mindset that they have basically lost. Stoke against us is a great example but the frustrating thing with United is they have not even been that good and teams still go into games with them with that same mindset as Stoke and Norwich had against us when we were really good.

To all the drama queens: We're not yet half way through the season. We've just drawn an away game in December.

Barcelona (yes the great Barcelona) have drawn 4 and lost 1. So we have a better record than them, in a more difficult league.

So do try to show a bit of perspective and stop getting all girly and dramatic.

Yes, but let's be honest here. Doessn't matter if we a better record than Barca or not. Because we aren't competing against them, we are competing with United.

we can't influence their results, apart from one

Calm down, look at the crap Utd have played since we humped them 6-1. The only team they've played (could be wrong here) from the top half is Newcastle and they couldn't beat them.
All they've beaten since then is teams from the bottom 8.....Wigan, Fulham, Wolves, QPR, Sunderland when they were really shit (fantastic 1-0 triumph), Everton when they were crap too, Swansea ( a great 1-0 win...not), Norwich and Aston Villa (another fantastic 1-0 humping...not).
In that same period we have played Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle (when they were unbeaten), Stoke (on the back of their 4 match winning run) and others.
Utd still have to go to their nearest challengers and will not win any of those games.
