It's true that champions win these games but we have some leeway on paper with United yet to go to Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, and City for tough away days. But in the immediate future I can see them going top as they have Blackburn, a not-as-good-as-they-were Newcastle, and Bolton.
Silva was incredibly disappointing today, I thought it might have been him taken off and Nasri moved into the middle. Johnson did not have the impact we hoped, the ball wasn't given to him much though and maybe he should have drifted in to look for it. Sometimes when we're against two banks of four and running into brick walls it seems like we need a ball-breaking player of the Hazard or Nani type. Then again if Silva hadn't forgotten how to pass today we'd probably have had a few more clear opportunities.
