So how many clear cut chances did they have in the 75 minutes he was on the bench and how many in the 15 he was on the pitch? I'm just wondering because apparently he is fantastic at shielding the back four.

We almost gave it away with some careless and sloppy passing in the latter stages.

Apart from some decent defensive work and the assist for the goal I have to concede that Dzeko was very poor. I would have thought that he would have "played out of his skin" to try and convince MP that he needs to start more games.

Two more brilliantly worked goals, this team when they turn it on are a real joy to watch.

I feel a bit more confident about the game at Southampton as their wheels seem to be falling off.

But what really annoyed me last night was the TV coverage I was watching - kept focusing on the managers, the subs and the crowd. Made my blood boil at times as I could hear the crowd noises but couldn't see the game.

superp first half poor second as we switched of also I thought kolarov was exsposing our back four constantly being out of position.demichellis is suspect to someone with pace.and yaya toure leaves fernandinho to exsposed with his half hearted tackling.still things to work on but a win is a win.

it was a bizarre own goal and a well taken shot

Neither were good defending to be fair, its still a pattern away from home that isn't fixed.

Nor is taking our chances away from home, if it was, we'd have been 5-0 by half time. Good result, happy with it, but there were still plenty of things that weren't quite right.
