West Brom Vs CityPost Match Discussion Thread

Happy with our win today but if we'll defend like this against Ajax... Crazy. And Nasri is just awful! Awful!

Don't be silly, we had ten men against one of the in-form teams in the Premier league; because we have a shit hot manager, our team made their team look as if they'd lost a man. Our defence was hampered by a mistake by Yaya, otherwise, efficient enough.

Fantastic performance today.

True champion stuff. Everybody worked their balls off for that. Their goal was a lucky lucky fluke but we still came back from it.

Really proud of the lads.

Brennan has given them mostly 6s in the MUEN. Fucking joke. If the rags do the same at any time, they will all be on 9s & 10s.

-- Sat Oct 20, 2012 7:59 pm --

2nd on MOTD tonight after Spurs/Chelsea, hopefully Hansen is there with his sour expression.

kompany made a mistake and balotelli got booked, i wonder what they'll talk about!

Don't forget Milner 'recklessly diving in'.

Just got back, great performance and good sing song, well done lads and lasses

What a spirit there is in this team! Never gave up, bossed the 2nd half, really strange decisions from the ref but as we all know, strange is the norm for mr clattenburg

Who's the baggies number 5? Dirty bastard! Anyone spot the Kung Fu kick in nasri's back when they both went up for a header in the first half? He was at it none stop and can't believe he didn't get booked till right near the end of the game

I am still laughing at Phil fucking Big nose Thomson.

He certainly was a baggie along with Stelling today. To quote...

"It must be a worry, only 1 clean sheet all season"....

Yeah really big worry,3rd in the league, unbeaten, not even firing on all cylinders.

Let the fucking haters keep hating.

Oh forgot to mention....and winning away from home with 10 men!!

Not got the time (or the inclination if I'm honest) to read the whole thread but I LOVE THIS TEAM!!

This morning I was thinking to myself why am I doing this, I was tired and didn't want to go, didn't want to drive but........... they were great, they never gave up and I am going to give them all TEN!! Ok I know some won't agree with me but I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!

Well done City.

Yacob, the Argentine, but I thought he was booked for bringing Tevez down in the first-half.

He's a 'look at me' ref.

No arguments with the sending off but when Kompany is constantly barrcaking a ref, you know something is amiss.

Likes blowing his whistle, slowing the game down and showing the players who's boss.

IMHO he was poor but nothing compared to previous seasons

He's a prima donna for sure but I thought he got all the contentious decisions right. It was a red for Milner, last man, clear run on goal, the other defender wasn't getting there. Vinny's error cost us a red but not many players except Milner would've been covering their CB so I am grateful he was there albeit a fraction late. Clattenburg was fair to both teams. Similiar fouls got the same punishment for each side. That's the way he is.

The rules is "goal scoring opportunity" not "last man", it was not a goal scoring opportunity that what people are missing the point over, Lescott was quite close and he wasnt direct on goal

I thought we controlled a lot of the game and eventually got what we deserved. We could have had the game wrapped up comfortably by half-time but we just did our usual thing of making it harder than it needed to be.

Kompany still looks shaky and Lescott didn't look confident either. Everyone else appeared to be cautious but still remained relatively comfortable. Even going a goal down didn't break us, and for that reason I'm immensely proud of the performance.

I'm loving all this 'Winning at the death' feature that appears to have crept into our play. Makes a fucking pleasant change from losing at the death.

I'm sure there was a spell not so long ago where we went 2 or 3 years without winning from behind. Now i almost EXPECT us to find a way to win when trailing, and it seems the players do too. Typical City!

Twatenburgh couldn't wait to get his red out, Lescott was close but not close enough to be fair, if it was at the other end we would have been screaming.....Komps got it wrong, but fair play to Milner he tried to rectify Komps fuck up and was very close to getting it wright, this team needs Milner and I for one hope he keeps his place after his ban
