West Ham (H) - Post-Match Thread

Moyes played their first 11 in the same way he played against us in the Cup with their 2nd 11 hoping for the same result. Hes a dull dinosaur manager refusing to recognise that the games moved on. They have a decent side and could have had a go at us and see where it got them, but no, ultra defensive with no ambition. We are lucky that our squad is so good that we can try and win every game and have a manager that lives by that ethos. Listening to Moyes telling the world they deserved something out of the game was fucking laughable. In my opinion they got exactly what they deserved - nothing. The fact they scored was fucking robbery with 3 attempts on target. We should have dicked them by 4 yesterday and at least that would have been a fair representation of the match. Im glad this low block bullshit seldom gets anything out of us - its fucking dull as ditchwater to watch and somehow we are accused of being boring having to play against this shit week in week out.

Thats probably the most accurate match report I’ve read.

I went on the match day thread yesterday and I thought Sterling must have been particularly bad given the abuse and vilification that he was getting. I watched the game this morning to see for myself , I think he played well. Given the amount of goals and trophies he has scored \won with the club does he not deserve our respect? In addition I listened to the game on 5 live yesterday. I got the impression that West Ham were the best team in the first half , which turned out to be the exact opposite. The commentators are supposed to describe the game not follow their own agenda. Rubbish from the BBC
Fucking match day thread eh, I'd rather stick pins in my eyes.
Sterling had a good game.

But I thought we regularly got 30,000 plus even when we got relegated twice. That 8,000 crowd must have been exceptional. I certainly don't remember it.
I think it was against Swindon town and it was less than 8000 and we lost although my memory may have slipped on this one
16th January 1965 v Swindon Town. A magnificent crowd of 8,015 were there, myself included. Their winning goal was scored by a certain Michael George Summerbee.

that dribble sterling had solo against dawson was inexcusable. there was no covering defender and he has all the pace in the world to beat him. does it so much! sportsbetting3.com

I am guessing you are talking about the instance where he hit the post, I thought the shot was the right decision, he was six yards out and the keeper was down. A pass would have been a worse choice, there was a defender between him and Gundo to intercept it.

That said he went missing most of the second half and would have probably been subbed if there were good options on the bench.
I agree plus Gundogan should have passed to Mahrez instead of shooting at one stage too.
