I know what you are saying but think they will fear our mid/attack more than they think of theirs being able to inflict damage. Everything said, lets hope Pep can field the team he would want to come derby dayI just think if we lost delph or one of cbs we’d be relying on mangala or Danilo to slot in and that would be a tough ask. Though mangala put zlatan in his pocket a few years back vs PSG. If you don’t get banned for what lukaku did though it seems you won’t get banned for much
You don't have to understand it it's a load of bollocks.
I'm not involved in football, I just support City so the only thing I care about is the way we play & the result. It really isn't and all the PL clubs use it as part of their analysis.
Football is quite unique in that the worse team has a better chance of winning than in any other sport because goals are hard to come by. Goals aren't the best predictor of how a team will perform in the future, it's not bad but expected goals are better as a measure.
When clubs are thinking about sacking a manager they need to know if the team is performing well but has had bad luck or if they are genuinely poor. Expected goals is a good measure to assist in this decision for example.
It's your normal British reaction to anything new or misunderstood. Jeff Stelling and other dinosaurs will continue to disagree as the clubs continue to make use of data.

Don't want to derail the thread, I think it's nonsense & you don't.Then why do you assume it's bollocks if you don't know what it is or how it's used?
