West Ham - post match thread

United : win against bournemouth, southhampton, hull = championship material = mourinho working his magic
City : win against sland, stoke , west ham = flattering scoreline = fraud guardiola will be found out in this league

You can see why Pep wants a keeper that can pass it pass that first press because when that happens it will leave teams totally open to our style of play.
Some great football today especially first 20 mins then we ran out of steam abit I think the warm weather didn't help our early intensity
Nasri looked good when he came on and it would be crazy to sell him this season

This.

We where not so great again yet Rags, Chelsea, Arse etc are all world beaters again pmsl.

The first half performance was probably the best football I've seen played at the Etihad...

I completely disagree.

What you forget to mention is West hams change in tactic and that being stick their big lads up front and hit it long, thus bypassing midfield and attempting to turn us.

Yes the pattern of the game changed because of that but it didnt change because we stopped pressing or where tired, something the poster i replied to was trying to say.

Need to watch their goal again mate. Collins was past the half way line and had time to control, look up and find the lad out wide on the opposite side of the field. Their defender (Collins) was in our half and no one was in 10 yards of him, once the pass had gone out wide, Zab backed off and allowed the West ham player time to make space and get the ball across. Between the defender starting the play and the wide man having the space/time to cross, we did very little pressing on the play. West ham tactics changed but that wasnt the "only" reason they got back into the game. That goal wouldnt have happened in the 1st half as we were pressing higher up the pitch.

Dont want this to take away from a great first half performance and another great 3 points but if people want to make out I talking "shit" they need to get the facts right first. Not asking anyone to believe me just go back and look at the play again(like I have a few times) and tell me again we pressed the same on that play, as the first half.

At the end of the day it should have been 5 or 6 playing at about 50% of what we can do, someone's going to get an absolute fucking, just hope it's the rags
