West Ham Thread 14/15

Even though the result went against us, I really enjoyed my day in the East End on Saturday. Their fans were really on a high walking away from the ground and in the pub afterwards. (Still think we deserved something out of the game though despite some calamitous defending ;-)).

I bought Sakho on FF at half time for next week. 45 minutes later he's off with a shoulder injury!

I like that Fat Sam can play two upfront and they're playing entertaining stuff rather than the turgid stuff they've produced for a few years. Some teams are struggling to play against 4-4-2 system, although I think he switched it up against City. I like the look of Creswell at full back he can get forward well too

Last season we didnt have the players to play attacking football that was demanded, sam can only work with what he's got.

Cresswell is excellent - i would say a future England left back, but thats one area where there is loads of competitions.

That is true, when they played Carroll as a lone striker there was always a temptation by the likes of Collins to hoof one up to him, there is a lot more on the ground now. Song has been excellent so far, I didn't think much of him at Arsenal or Barca but he's playing very well, I like Kouyate too but not seen him for a bit, dunno if he's been injured or Fat Sam thinks they're too alike. That amifianto (sp) looks decent so far, but early days yet. West Ham and Southampton have been surprise packages so far.

Are the fans still giving Sam stick? I liked his celebration a few weeks ago against Burnley

West Ham got what they deserved on Saturday. Good luck to them, I hope they keep it up and have a great season.

Less so now obviously but I've had my say on the west ham forum

I would go as far as saying that Song has been the buy of the season.

Could argue a case for Sakho aswell - £3.5 million and 6 goals in 6 starts.

Good time to be a Hammers fan, they have the look of a really good team there.

Cresswell, Kayoute, Valencia highly impressive. Out of 8 new signings they have all hit the ground running. Never known anything like it when you consider the signings made by spurs and how much they payed for likes of Soldado, Lamela, Chadli etc.

Man City have proved twice you can get a number of players playing together quickly. Spurs just bought a few duffers at high prices
