West Ham Thread 2015/16

Think their Europa games have given them a fitness edge. Might slip a bit come November,
but always nice to see the Hammers do well. Best football club in London.

Well done, Hammers. Great win today.

It's a pity you didn't take the Europa a little more seriously. I think you could have done well in it.

Well worth watching, hope the Labour MP Bryant stays on Boris Johnsons case as he and Lord Coe have a lot to answer regarding the stadium handover to WHU. Also giving Brady a seat in the Lords stinks.

Off topic, but Coe has also got a lot to answer for re his outrageous comments on the Sunday Times investigation into blood doping in athletics, which implicates a third of all distance medal winners '01-'12, and shows the IAAF up for not doing their job anything like properly. Instead he calls it an attack on athletics, when he should welcoming it, and supporting all the calls for athletes to publish their data. Apparently one major British athlete is among those listed with 1 in 100,000 to a million blood readings (as in the chances of that reading happening naturally) ....got my suspicions about a particular female athlete.

Anyway, by the way he's carrying on, anyone would think Coe was standing for the presidency of the IAAF in the near future. Oh, hang on a minute...
He's gone down in my estimation big time after that outburst.

He was my MP for five years. He and his wife loved the constituency so much that when she was due to give birth to their first child, she toddled off to London, rather than have it in the area.

Wanker!

I sat in the home end today at the Emirates (arsenal mate got me a ticket) was so hard not to celebrate ! What a performance. One of the best I've seen in my lifetimes.
Payet is unbelievable, 16 year old Oxford was bullying the likes of Corzola and Ozil in the middle, and most impressively we didn't have Jenkinson, Valencia, Amilfitano, Carroll, Nolan out there today. Really think we're in for a good season.

Super Slav's Claret n Blue Army !

Would add Emirates stadium was beautiful

Savour the sweet taste of it mate, it'll linger, innit. Oi nice kit by the way.

I've a feeling that the boardroom wanted them out of it PDQ.

We still fielded a side that should be capable of beating a very average Romanian team. However, we lost. It happens. I wanted a good run in Europe but i suppose it's better to be out now rather than 10-15 games down the line when your still miles away from winning Europa. Premiership is the priority for this season and after today's victory I really couldn't care less about our early exit.
