West Ham Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Sky kept going on about how West Ham had done themselves credit. Really? They went close 2 or 3 times but that was surely just a game they would have wanted to see the back of asap

Good Luck to the Hammers in staving off relegation. I think they will, but it's going to be a battle

Really don't give a sh*t , good luck in the final blues

That must have been a bit painful for your lot Mark. We know how it feels.
Not a big fan of BFS and lump it up to the big bloke tactics he employed first half but it's different strokes for different folks I suppose and I thought we handled it OK to be honest. Hope the hammers stay up but it look likes you've got a fight on your hands. You'll know by the end of Feb if your players are up for it! Some tasty games about then for the iron.

Statistically a close game but we were clinical in the right areas. I felt like we could have stepped up a couple of gears at any time as well.

Great win, tempered by a possible injury to Negredo. Gut feeling is a broken collarbone. Hope I'm wrong. Lopes, though.....what a game! Hope he starts again Saturday.

No ways a broken collar bone, he'd be off on a stretcher straight to hospital. Good to see he got back up and carried on... Man is he a BEEEEEEAAAASSSSSSTTTTTTT.................

I've broken my collarbone twice and carried on like Negredo was for the last two minutes.

My parents made me go swimming when i broke mine FFS, I was only 12 aswell, bastards

Good performance City, totally professional.

Very easy away performance, hard to find a fault with anyone, 3 striker goals, a young lad given his first full game, and very good he looked too, particularly liked when he stuck one on Nolan.

It was very routine I guess, but we still played some good football, as we were walking away, one West Ham fan was chatting to some blues, and said what a pleasure it was to be able to watch us tonight, and that he hadn't seen such good movement in a team for a long time.

Pantillimon - 6 solid, didn't have much to do.
Boyata - 6 again solid, worked hard, few mistakes, and got forward a bit tonight
Lescott - 7 good, great block from Morrison
Nastasic - 7 looked comfortable all night
Clichy - 6 did OK, but most of any little threat came down his side
Fernandihno - 8 my MoM, did everything well
Garcia - 7 not far behind Fernandihno for me
Lopes - 7 a very promising night, we have a very good player here, gave the ball away a bit, but that's just the different pace at the top level he'll pick that up quickly enough, but best of all whenever he did, he went looking to make sure we got it back
Navas - 7 again looked hungry and up for it
Negredo - 7 two goals his second was a fantastic finish
Aguero - 7 not at his best, but that's not knocking him because his best is very bloody good

Rodwell - 6 didn't do a lot, but there wasn't much need
Jovetic - 6 looked up for it and put himself about
Kolorov - 6 not on long, didn't have to break sweat really

Watching the highlights now, and I've no idea where the West Ham singing came from, was it piped in from another game ? they had about 20 lads singing to our left (who all had a great night out by the looks of it so full credit to them), but in the ground we never heard a peep for most of the game.

Our fans sounded louder on TV, but it looked like their noise was coming from behind the other goal. Saying that I only heard a couple of renditions of bubbles

who threw theit shirt to the City fans after the game?

Think It may have been Jovetic.
I can tell you it was definitely Stevan (who the fuck are you?) Jovetic.

I was wondering before the game whether I'd see any stars of the future. I most certainly did. That lad Lopes is fantastic.

And it was good to do the Poznan. Did they show that on Sky?

Who was that that ran right through their defence near the end? Looked like Rodwell to me.

I broke it, finished off skiing down the mountain, went out got drunk and went to the hospital when it was still hurting the day after. I've honestly had worse tooth aches.

There is no way he would have carried on if he had of dislocated or broken his collarbone.

Unless our medical staff are complete novices you know straight away if your collarbone is shot.

Looked to me like it could have been a sprung clavicle, ie the collar bone comes out of the socket on impact and goes back in again, its f***in sore, but you have mobility and it would seem OK to external examination, how long he would be out depends on the level of damage to the ligaments and cartilage, it also may be a recurring problem, once it happens once they tend to pop regularly.

I can't believe it wasn't even a foul, it was a blatant trip
