What are your unpopular opinions on City that you believe 100%?

I predicted on here in about 2014 or so that Yaya would become the biggest "rose tinted glasses" player in our history and its already coming true. Him and Dzeko.

People are already thinking that 13/14 Yaya was what Yaya was always like. Rather than the rest of his City career where he stood around in midfield and watched the opposition run past him while pointing at others to do something about it. People remember the times he picked up the ball and drove forward in midfield and think he did this every game - it was actually rare.

Yaya will have the best YouTube compilation of any midfielder in PL history. But he was lazy, didn't press and consistently cost us games in Europe because of it.

Pep let Yaya go on two separate occasions. That should tell you something.

I agree on the Yaya point. He’s nowhere near legendary status compared to Sergio, Silva and Vinny. And he was a **** off the field.

Agree on Dzeko. I remember the great moments with Dzeko - that worldie against Spurs, getting the equalizer vs QPR, but I also remember how frequently frustrating he was.

Jesus Navas and Kolarov were much better than a lot of blues gave them credit for and both got a lot of undeserved grief from fans.
Kolarov played CB for Pep in Pep's first year with us. And he was actually surprisingly solid.

I'd add Otamendi to the list. Alot of the 'memes' about his recklessness overshadow what he has achieved with us, as a first-teamer. There was a season when he was arguably our best CB.

Was our main CB during the Centurion's season starting 45 games (plus 1 sub) out 57 played in all comps. Was liable to the odd brain fart but he's a big part of one of our greatest ever teams.

Here's mine, Valeri Bojinov would scored have scored a lot of goals for us under Sven had he not got Injured against United & then under Hughes had he not re injured himself before the Villa game at the start of the following season, he'd have been a proper number 9

David silva should have scored more goals....
Not really unpopular. Even his most ardent fans and I count myself among them would have liked to see more goals from him.
His lack of goals won't take away what he contributed over the years though and doesn't stop him being my favourite ever player who is up there as one of our greatest ever players.

Richard Edgehill was a better prospect than Paul Lake at the same age, both had a similar injury after being included in England squads, one got abuse for coming back not quite as good, the one who never really came back is made out to be a superstar.
I’d bow to the judgement of Alex Ferguson, Bobby Robson, and Paul Gascogne amongst a plethora of others on this. All of whom have described Lakey as a generational talent who would but for injury have been a mainstay of the England team for years. How many times did Edgehill get picked for his country?

Amen. His very very top level, which for a season was absolutely majestic was nowhere near sustained enough to be considered as our greatest ever player, which some still claim him to be.
He had more poor seasons than stand out ones for sure.

A liability in Europe. Was a guaranteed bypass for the opposition.
